Germany, April 2, 2024 – The Indonesian Student Association in Germany (PPI Jerman) 2023/24 in collaboration with the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) has successfully held an informative webinar on the topic of “Socialization on Matching NIK to NPWP and NITKU” virtually via the Zoom platform on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, from 10:30 – 12:30 CEST (15:30 – 17:30 WIB). Moderated by Iqlima Khayra Mumtazya, a Staff Member of the Partnership and Entrepreneurship Department (KK) of PPI Jerman 23/24, this webinar featured speakers Ir. Yudha Wijaya, M.Ec. and Mohammed Lintang, S.E., M.S.E., both tax counselors from the Directorate of Tax Dissemination, Services, and Public Relations (P2Humas) of DJP.
This webinar was organized to provide information to Indonesian diaspora abroad, especially in Germany, regarding the Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 136 of 2023 concerning Amendments to PMK Number 112/PMK.03/2022 and Law Number 7 of 2021 concerning Tax Regulation Harmonization (UU HPP) and PMK Number 112/PMK.03/2022, in which it is stated that the government stipulates the full implementation of the Nomor Induk Kependudukan (NIK) as Nomor Pokok Wajib Pajak (NPWP) and Nomor Identitas Tempat Kegiatan Usaha (NITKU). Through this webinar, it is hoped that Indonesian diaspora who plan to return, settle, and continue their careers in Indonesia will not be confused when dealing with taxation.
“I highly appreciate this event and the participants who have come here because this is a form of Indonesian diaspora’s concern for what is happening in the homeland,” said Dwi Astuti, S.H., M.Ec., Director of P2Humas of DJP, in her opening remarks.
This webinar consisted of three sessions, namely the material presentation session, Q&A session, and games session. The event began with speeches from Dwi Astuti, S.H., M.Ec., Antonius Yudi Triantoro from the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Frankfurt, and Agnia Dewi Larasati, B.Sc., President of PPI Jerman 2023/24. In the first session, the speakers provided information on the legal basis for matching NIK to NPWP and NITKU, changes in NPWP format, the effective date of the new regulations, and the transition process from NPWP to NIK for existing taxpayers. In the second session, participants were given the opportunity to ask questions about the matching process, sanctions for those who do not undergo the matching process, and taxes that may arise when returning to Indonesia and bringing personal belongings. Before proceeding to the final session, there was also a group photo session for documentation purposes. In the last session, there was a game in the form of a quiz with questions related to the material presented by the speakers.
The webinar participants consisted of 37 people from various cities in Germany and from different backgrounds, ranging from students to Indonesian diaspora working in Germany. Participants behaved orderly throughout the event and showed enthusiasm during the Q&A and games sessions.
Through the material and answers provided by the speakers, it is expected that each participant is now aware of the procedures for matching NIK to NPWP and NITKU and is aware of all the consequences that may arise if the procedure is not carried out promptly.
